Varsity 2026
Team Brunel vs St Mary’s
Get ready for the return of Varsity, the biggest sporting day of the year and the ultimate showdown between Team Brunel and St Mary’s University. This year, it’s on campus and set to be bigger than ever.

What is Varsity?
Varsity is a full-day sporting battle where Team Brunel takes on St Mary’s across a wide range of sports. Every match matters. Each win earns a point for the university, and by the end of the day, the team with the most points is crowned Varsity Champion.
Last year, St Mary’s retained the cup. This year, it’s our turn. It’s about resilience, skill, and showing up for Team Brunel from the first whistle to the final result.
What to expect on the day
Varsity is more than just sport. It’s one of the biggest crowds of the year, with a festival-like atmosphere across campus from morning through to the final fixtures.

Why you don’t want to miss it
Varsity is the one day where the whole campus comes together. The noise, the colours, the tension of every point and the celebrations when Team Brunel delivers. Even if you don’t usually follow sport, the atmosphere alone makes it unmissable.
