Join us for the first Student Assembly with the newly elected Student Assembly Community Members! Student Assembly is the Union's main decision-making body. It creates and oversees our guiding policies, holds the Student Officers to account, and is involved in Union campaigns and development. 1. What is Student Assembly?
Student Assembly is the main place where big decisions are made about what your Union focuses on and how it represents you. From shaping campaigns to setting our guiding policies, Student Assembly helps steer the direction of the Union and holds our elected officers to account.
2. Who can attend Student Assembly?
Anyone can attend and get involved in the discussion – it’s your space to speak up, ask questions, and influence what’s happening on campus. But when it comes to voting, that’s in the hands of our elected Student Assembly members, who represent the wider student voice.
3. Who sits on Student Assembly?
13 x Executive Committee (includes full time and Part time officers), 15 x Community members (With a target of at least 5 of those to be Women), 2 x Commuter student members (With a target of at least 1 of those to be Women), 4 x Home Student members (with a target of at least 2 of them being women), 2 x Societies Guild Committee members, 2 x Team Brunel Committee members
