Bouncy Break is your chance to move your body, clear your mind, and have a bit of fun. Being active doesn’t have to mean intense workouts or gym sessions; even light, playful movement can boost your mood, reduce stress, and help you feel more energised. Taking time to move can break up long periods of sitting, improve focus, and release built‑up tension, especially during busy or stressful weeks. Pre or post exam, a short burst of exercise will be beneficial!
Whether you’re taking part or just along for the experience, Bounce Break is about reminding ourselves that movement can be joyful, social, and great for our mental health.
Date: Thursday 14th May 2026
Time: 10am - 4 pm
Location: Benjamin Zephaniah Sqaure (Rain Location: The Atrium, Hamilton Centre)
Accessibility Statement
Bounce Break is designed to be a relaxed, inclusive wellbeing activity where students can take part in a way that feels comfortable for them. Participation is optional and flexible, you’re welcome to join in actively, take breaks, or simply observe.
The event will take place on Benjamin Zephaniah Sqaure (or in the case of rain, inside The Atrium, Hamilton Centre), with step‑free access available. The activity focuses on light, optional movement rather than structured exercise, and there is no expectation to take part in the bouncy castle if this isn’t suitable for you.
We recognise that movement‑based events aren’t accessible to everyone, and we want students to feel able to engage at their own pace. Quiet breaks are welcome, and there is no pressure to participate continuously.
If you have specific access requirements or questions ahead of the event, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to support you.
The Union of Brunel Students may capture photography and videography at events for promotional purposes.
By attending this event, you acknowledge that your image may be captured and used under our legal basis of legitimate interest.
