For Women’s History Month, the Black Students Network, Pan African Society, are hosting an open and empowering conversation exploring Womanism vs Patriarchy — centring Black womanhood, culture, and community. Womanism is a movement and mindset that centres Black women’s experiences, culture, and community. It goes beyond mainstream feminism by recognising that race, culture, family, and community all shape how Black women experience the world.
