First, form your doubles team by attending our sessions. Once you're in, you can challenge other teams on the ladder—win, and you'll climb to the top! But stay sharp—other teams can challenge you and take your spot if you don’t have what it takes.

What is Active@Brunel?

Active sessions are inclusive and open to everyone with a valid Union sports membership.

Active@Brunel focuses on trying new sports, learning new skills, and enhancing overall well-being.

Active@Brunel is all about getting moving, meeting new people, and having fun while trying something new. It’s open to everyone, regardless of ability or fitness level, and there’s no pressure to commit every week. Whether you’re looking to try a new activity or just want a casual way to stay active, our sessions are a great way to get involved and enjoy some downtime with friends.

How Does Payment Work?

Free for Union Sport Members—attend as many sessions as you like throughout the year.

£2.50 pay-as-you-go option—perfect if you’re just trying it out or don’t want to fully commit.

What About Equipment?

All equipment is provided, so just turn up in comfy gear, and you’re good to go!

What to Expect

The university sports facilities are fully accessible, with step-free access.

Accessible restrooms are available for Disabled Students. There are Gender Neutral toilets in the sports facilities.

First Aiders, including Mental Health First Aiders, will be present throughout the sessions.

Need a break? Feel free to rest at any time. Both sports halls have seating areas, and the sports park pavilion offers plenty of chairs and space to recharge.

Additional Support

Have a service animal? They’re welcome at all sessions.

We strive to make our sessions as accessible as possible. If there’s anything we can do to enhance your experience—such as providing adaptive equipment—reach out ahead of time, and we’ll work to ensure everything’s ready.

Attending a session off-site? Let us know if you have any questions about the facilities or equipment, and we’ll coordinate with the venue to get all the details.
